Join us for Game Night at the Museum! Roll the dice at the California State Railroad Museum after hours at this 18+ Game Night! Bring your pals along or make new friends while playing Super Smash Bros or board games provided by Galaxy Game Cafe. Snacks, drinks and wine hosted by Acheson Wine Company available from 6 to 8 pm. (Cash or cards accepted.) This event is 18+. A valid ID is needed at check-in.

Members of the California State Railroad Museum Foundation will also receive a drink ticket at check-in. This ticket is good for your choice of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage at the bar.

What to Expect
See the California State Railroad Museum in a whole new light at our after-hours Game Night at the Museum! Parts of the Museum will be open for you to explore, so make sure you ask one of our docents how you can get a unique nighttime tour of some exhibits.
Check out awesome tabletop board games fromGalaxy Game Cafe,located in the Roundhouse right amongst our historic trains! For video gamers, we will have aSmash Bros Tournamenthosted byCarmen Chicagoin the West Theatre!
Our Smash tournament will be a single-elimination bracket, best of three. Semifinals and finals will be best of five. Rounds are 1v1, 8 Minutes, 3 Stock, and No Items on Tournament Legal Stages.This Tournament does not count towards Smash Ultimate Rankings and is not affiliated with any Majors, Regionals, Premiers, or Supermajors.
We recommend bringing your own controllers or Joy-Cons, as our system has only a limited supply.
Sign-ups will be on a first come first served basis in the West Theatre - ask staff or volunteers for directions if you need it! The winner will be awarded two excursion train tickets!

Game Night at the Museum is for adults 18 and older. Guests under 18 will not be allowed to attend.
You are welcome to bring your own game along with the understanding that the Railroad Museum nor California State Railroad Museum Foundation are responsible for any property you bring on the premises. We encourage you to peruse the game list to check if the game(s) you wish to play may already be provided.
We kindly ask that you keep games to the provided tables in the roundhouse.
Yes, you can! You are free to enjoy your beverages at the gaming tables in the roundhouse. Signage will indicate areas such as the boardwalk where drinks are not allowed.
We will have a selection of wines provided by Acheson Wine Company, beer, and hard seltzer available. We will also have soft drinks and water available for those younger than 21.
Patrons may purchase up to three alcoholic beverages per person with valid ID. Non-alcoholic beverages are not included in the drink limits.
There will be snacks available for purchase (popcorn, gummy bears, etc.).
